can i put 225 60 16 on a 2008 dodge avenger that has 215 65 16. please help

2008 dodge comes with 215 65 16 tires a friend of ours gave us 3 brand new 225 60 16. Just like to know if
these will fit our Dodge.

why only 3 tires? it is safest to have all tires of the same size and type, regardless of whether or not they will fit the rims.

Sorry i should have put this in there, he had 3 new tires sitting for a month anyways my plan is to buy the 4th. Sorry

I have recently installed for my Subaru Forester 2009, 225/60/R16 instead of 215/65/R16 and I am satisfied.
