Two questions: Electrical system and shine

Asked by whatayadoin Aug 18, 2009 at 03:13 PM about the 1984 Pontiac Fiero Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 84 Fiero died.  It won't jump start, electric windows and auto door locks won't work.  Battery is charged and alternator is fine as well as belt.  I'm disconnected somewhere.  Any idea?  Also, how do you get the body to shine?  The car has been well cared for and is in wonderful condition.

ok about the electrical problem, i looked thru my repair papers from the previous owner b/c i faintly remember something along those lines and it was wire from the alternator was putting out, so check the wireing from the alternator and such and hopefully that should fix it. and about the shine, i use lucas spray on wax, the car came in top 25 at the carshow (not bad for a $500 car)

HI. I am A original owner of an 84 Fiero, did and still do a lot of work on my car. Over the years any time I had power problems the first place to look would be the starter. I found a lot of issues with the battery cable at the starter. Good luck from Falcon 1955
