CAN IT BE SOMETHING BESIDES THE MOTOR?

Yes- could be a fuse- could be a frayed wire in the door jam- could be the switch- could be mercury retrograde

Take the door panel off if a fuse replacement does not work. Make sure the rails and window mechanism is working freely.
