I am trying to purchase a 2003 acura TL. I heard that Acura had had issues with transmissions from 2003 and prior. Is this true? the car I want to purchase has 90,000 miles. Any advice?

True. I have 145000 km on my TL and just started having transmission problems after a flush and oil change..

Acura extended the warranty on the transmission to 7 years or 100,000 miles. If you brought the car in with a faulty transmission and the dealership confirmed it, a brand new transmission would be installed. I had that problem with my 2001 CL-S and the new tranny was covered under warranty.
