My Car cut off while I was driving and would not restart?

The Radio and all the electrical instruments are working fine, including the air and heat.  Do I just need a new battery?

If your radio and electrical instruments are still working that means the battery is ok. Did the car cough and sputter before cutting off? If you have lots of gas in the tank it may be the fuel pump.
