No fuel to injectors

1991 astro van. Have replaced fuel pump, fp relay, ran new wire from behind engine to fp. Fuel gauge works but
pump is not activating therefore not getting any fuel to injectors. What can be stopping pump from activating?

Ignition switch. First try jumping the relay with a paperclip to see if the pump kicks on. If it does it may be the ignition switch, if it doesn't the pump may have a bad ground.
