How  can I test to see if it is in fact the fuel
pump

Or you can disconnect the fule line from the injectors if it weak you have a bad pump

Turn you key to ON and listen for a faint hum. That him will be the fuel pump priming itself. If you hear nothing more than likely the fuel pump is bad. Take a piece of wood and lightly tap under the gas tank. Sometimes the pump will get stuck with sediments in the tank. Might have to tap several times. If there’s no hum then it’s more than likely the pump is shot.
