I can't get my truck to start after replacing the fuel pump.

I have replaced the fuel pump on my 1992 Chevy Silverado 5.7L, and now it
won't start. I think the fuel lines have air in them, will it work itself out, or is
there a process for me to bleed them?

you should cycle the key about 5 times for 10 seconds in run then off. can you here the fuel pump run also should be a test port on a fuel rail on top of Eng some place. see if you get fuel to it push it down like a tire valve

so the other day i moved my 1997 chevy k1500 in my driveway and put my plow on then let it run for a while. I came bacj to it about 30 mins later and it was dead. I tried to crank it but got nothing. after going over everything replacing coil icm ecm crank sensor cam sensor plugs wires complete distributer from cap to oil pump . I have spark but when it it reaches distributer i get no spark to wires. Any ideas? I have never seen this before, im at a loss, please help!! 7 Answers

I have 1998 Chevy ext. Stepside truck It will not start after "mechanic" changed the fuel pump twice now. He says it's the computer that need to be replaced. I don't think that's right. 8 Answers

Truck tries to turn on but dies out as if not getting fuel. He tried to get me to replace the computer the first time. I told him just change the fuel pump. 3 days later had to "replace it" again....
