Transmission issue

Truck drove fine yesterday, drove it today, and
transmission dipstick blew out, transmission fluid
everywhere. Refilled fluid, now wont go in any gear,
can feel it shifting, but wont drive. Not sure what to
do.

No it was after the dipstick blew out. I just bought the truck. The guy i boight it from showed me the paperwork from where the transmission had just been rebuilt.

    I have a 1998 Chevy c/k 1500 and the transmission went. I found a 1997 700r transmission and am wondering if that would work in my truck? If not then what would?
