replacing the turn signal switchg

I have a 1994 chevy half ton 4by4 the tail lights are inop intermidite the brake lights stop working when I turn the headlights on wen I thit the blinkers both sides and both bulbs flash lightly. I have replaced head light switch, breke swith and replaced both brake light circuit boards in rear tail light housing ive been a mechanic all my life im scratching my head any suggestions idk what IT IS IM STUUMPED

Make sure you have the right bulbs in all the correct spots. A single phase "3156" in place of a dual phase "3157" will cause this. Both brake and running light in the rear are dual phase bulbs. The only bulb that is a single phase is the reverse light. Idk why but they are. If any bulb looks old change it anyway. On a rare occasion the burnt filament can cross circuits.
