transmission from 1997 Chevy Tahoe
V-8 to 1995 Chevy Cheyenne V-6 both

It won't work. The 1997 is OBD II while the 1995 is OBD I. They're completely different computer systems and are not compatible with each other at all. Jim

It will be very difficult, oh it can be done but everything that is in the Tahoe will somehow need to be transferred into the truck, engine, transmission, all the electronics and braking system, drivelines refitted, and then there’s the added weight so the suspension will also be to be refitted. By the time you have everything done and working you could have bought a decent V8 4X4 truck.
