How do I get the tool box that has the jack and the other stuff out of a 1996 chevy Silverado

There is a big long peice of metal
that is threaded around one of the
bolts

under the truck there should be a square knob, bolt,(whatever you want to call it) holding the rod in, under that square knob is an oval piece. (just follow the rod under the truck and you'll see it) Break that knob and the rod holding your jack should be able to come out with some hammering, and extra loving. best of luck
