Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1997 Chevy k1500 v8 5.7 won't
start it slowly turns over but stops
less than a second later or will back
fire. I have changed the crankshaft
sensor, the distributor, cleaned the
egr, changed one O2 sensor and
both caddies are still looking good
any ideas? Also changed the fuel
pump and it is working

My starter was changed less than a year ago but will change the battery. Can it be the timing chain when the truck was running fine and stalled as I went to give it gas after stopping at a stop light that's the last time it ran

Jumped time probably has lots of miles? Would not be turning it over could bend a valve
