1997 Chevrolet K 1500 5.0 L trouble starting

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1997 Chevrolet K 1500 5.0 L what
would be causing it to have trouble starting? I
have replaced the distributor cap and rotor a
button, and have also replaced the spark
plugs and wires. Could it be the camshaft
position sensor inside the distributor?  It will
just continuously turn over and over then
eventually crank up sometimes It won’t even
do that the battery will run dead before
cranking.  This truck has always been one to
just fire right up not even a full rotation of the
engine.

Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good.If you have that spider fuel system, that system is noted for problems. Key on, engine off, 60--66 psi fuel pressure. Check the fuel pressure. Could be other issues, any applicable trouble codes?
