1997 Chevy 1500 w/t

Hello, I was wondering if a 2wd tranny out of the
same year pickup with a 305 will bolt up to my 4.3.
They are both 2wd but the tranny out of the 305
has a half bell housing (with a dust shield)  and the
one on my 4.3 is a full bell housing.

Can the bell housing bolt on the other gearbox/Tran. If not... NO, s picket shaft also not correct, you will need adapters. and is the gearboxes the same length, in other words, new prop shaft or resize.Not to say the gear ratio, not impossible. :-)
