My question is why does the 6 speed automatic transmission in my 2012
Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 act like it shifts into neutral while driving along normally. The

Is the fluid fine and at the correct level? How many miles on the truck? any warning lights on the dash?

Yes, the fluid was at the correct level,, however it was very burnt, and smelly. I dropped the pan today and cleaned everything really spotless, installed a new filter, added new fluid, and now it works just fine. Thank you for your time, and consideration.
