4l60e 4x4 transmission

Asked by Torana_1762 Feb 24, 2017 at 10:00 PM about the 1993 Chevrolet C/K 2500 Silverado Extended Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced the seals in my transfer case.  Now the
transmission will grind shifting down into 1st, and I
have to turn the truck off to shift it into park. Have
a 1993 Chevy 2500 with a 5.7 liter tdi. Don't want
to do a transmission swap if don't have to.

It may have something to do with the transfer case. May want to check the condition of the chain and gears in the transfer case.
