2004 Buick Rendezvous Fob won't open doors or rear hatch

What can I try to determine what the issue may be?  Battery in fob new but it
won't open doors or rear hatch.  Car has 130,000 km.

Your local GM Dealer can check the fob to be sure it's working. The parts counter should be able to do this. If it's not, buy a new one, with programming instructions, from Ebay. I did that for my 2000 Grand Prix and the fob has been working fine since 2013. Hope that helps! Jim

A good locksmith can do this also and it might be cheaper.

Thank you so much. I'll try a locksmith and then, if necessary, a new fob before changing out the BCM, which I read on another site might be necessary - but expensive!

You're welcome. Glad to help! Only replace the BCM if you're absolutely sure it's bad. The new BCM will most likely need to be flashed (programmed) by the Dealer. Jim
