turn signals do not work

Asked by Jul 05, 2017 at 06:39 PM about the 1998 Buick Regal GS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my car  hit a bump and stalled in the middle of the road., it would not start after
that. I brought it to a mechanic who replaced the crankshaft position sensor.
and while he was in there he broke something else and had to replace a
control module. Now none of my turn signals work. Can this problem be related
to what was replaced?

He could have done a number of things. 1. He may have disconnected certain plugs in relation to the turn signals. 2. He may have blown fuses to the turn signal. 3. The turn signal bulbs could be out. When you say control module, do you mean a sensor? If this control module is the actual ECU, he must of done something very stupid to destroy that in your car and there could be a correlation with why your turn signals do not work.

checked all the bulbs, changed the hazard switch. all the lights come on. even the one that blink. they just wont blink. So the lights themselves have a connection. I'm not sure what the control module was, but it was on the bill and then deducted from the bill. all it said was control module.maybe ignition control module. Checking the fuses now. Thanks
