1999 Buick lesabre won't start it just clicks

I have 1999 Buick lesabre. I go to start it
and all it does is click. So I think it's the
starter. I get a new one and put it in and it
still clicked when I tryed to start it. I shook
the car back and forth and then tried it and
it started up. It started a couple times after
that but then it just started clicking again
pls help
