Is this a bad oil leak!

Asked by Guru991543 Oct 10, 2020 at 11:11 PM about the 2006 Chrysler Sebring Touring Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just got my oil change done and my oil filter
seems to have leaked from the top. Is this
considered bad? If so, what should I do?

If you can reach it, hand tighten it up and then top off the oil. If it keeps leaking maybe the gasket is damaged.

Usually it's a sign that the old gasket separated from the old filter, and is still there, sandwhiched to the new...Best to remove filter, and verify only one...
