1993 Cavalier 2.2L Throttle delay when cold?

Throttle delay when she's cold. Whether it's from a full stop or driving 55mph, barely touching the
pedal or slamming it to the floor there is a slight delay (maybe .5 seconds) until it takes off. After
about 10 minutes of driving it is back to normal with an immediate response from pressing the
pedal.

Throttle position sensor maybe? 210k miles on the car btw.

This may be unrelated, but also from a cold start I've had it up and die when put into reverse.
Usually after not being started for a few days.

I was driving around a bit today thinking about this; I thought I should clarify. It feels like it almost dies while stopped and then trying to accelerate. After running it around town for ~45minutes and parking it in the driveway, shifting back and forth into drive and reverse there's a very brief pause where it almost dies, but then it catches up and runs smooth.
