Is a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee always in 4WD?

I have looked at another site since Car Gurus has not answered my question. I am sure that a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee just stays in 4 wheel drive all the time - that's what a 4x4 is. Sadly, I really like Cambridge, Massachusetts - my old home area, and now I am not so happy with CarGurus for not answering my question

I don't think any 4wd runs in 4wd...but some newer cars have what they call awd...defined as all wheel drive
