After driving in the rain or snow, i have an ungodly amount of steam coming thru the grill. My temp gauge is fine, and the smell is just "hot", No sweet smell, no fog on my windshild. no leaks seen.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Only happens in wet conditions. Temp never rises. It just smells "hot" not a scary smell. car has never overheated. I've read a few answers elsewhere that call this "normal", but in all my years, I've never seen a car, mine or someone else,  do this.

If car doesn't overheat and u only smell it when u run through poddles, it's normal since water splashes on to exhaust system which is hot.
