AC in a 2007 BMW X3

My ac has been acting up the last 6 months. I would get it
charged and have cold air as I sit idle. When I get above
45 mph it would go warm. So I thought I had a leak and
would go back to my  mechanic and have it charged and
he said the pressure is still good. I finally broke down and
put a new compressor in it thinking that is was old and
could not keep up when over 45. Same thing is happening
with the new compressor. What else can I change out or
look at to find the problem.

We’ve tried that. We have put in the factory spec pressure and less and get the same problem.

Change your fan relay switch if it's an electric fan which comes on manual transmission models. I changed mine on my 2002 bmw 330ci because the fan kept shutting off and not coming back on or running slow.
