Why are my lights dimming and xheck engine light is on?

Does this sound like a typical alternator problem?
Just had my alternator replaced this time last year.
Please advise .

Very possible, just stop at an auto parts store like Auto Zone and have them check to see if it is charging. Only takes a few minutes.
