why is my reservoir tank slowly losing fluid

about a month ago i had a head gasket replaced because it was leaking and i was getting exhaust fumes when i would open the radiator now its good when i open my radiator cap but it seems like im still losing fluid in my radiator not fast slowly thought i thought a new head gasket would help.i wonder if i have air pockets in the radiator if so how can i get them out.i think someone said to start the car with the cap off and heater on if thats correct how long should i run it

That is the correct way, only run it till the heater gets nice and warm and no more bubbles coming out of the radiator, and that should do it.
