Worth replacing head gaskets for 2006 forester at 110,000 miles?

Not knowing anything else about your car I would say yes provided it is not a rust bucket.

Thanks FOR, true there is some small pit type rust. But over all no issues with rust. I just had the timing belt with water pump replaced at 100,000 miles, at the time water pump was changed because it was to prevent the hg from blowing! I wanted to preempt any major engine expenses. Who’s to know! I know very little as I’m 70 and just looking for the least expensive way to go. I got an estimate of $1400- 1800, does this sound about right?

Yeah...12 winters can be too long for most Subies to warrant the $1.5k+ re-investment. If the 4EAT operates perfectly and you don't also need brakes, tires, and maybe a wheel bearing at the same time...then it may be prudent. Leaking coolant? If yes...slowly? Leaking oil? If yes...try 10w50 dino oil to stem stench off right side cat conv.
