2006 subaru forester won't start after overheating

car overheated now won't start

Pull the dipstick and make sure there is no coolant in the crankcase. Does it crank over? If not it may be hydro locked

compression test it. might help to better diagnose if we had some more info too like if you shut it off when you saw it overheating and if so did it start up after cooling down or if you continued to drive it while it overheated and for how long, how long ago did it take place, etc.
