My dashboard and all the gauges and
warning lights all come on when I'm
driving. Sometimes it stops or isn't
happening all the time. My mechanic
can't get me in for two weeks!

Whacky things with the gauges usually point to the ignition switch. Pretty common, I keep a spare with me due to this. Use AC Delco brand, our platform can be picky with electronic parts. Less common problem would be a dashboard ground.
