MERCURY MONTEGO 2006 - V6- DIPSTICK TOO SHORT

Automatic fluid no way to check cause dipstick is too short and no reachable when the
engine is working. Please help!

Well the way I check my fluid was to put a pair of needle nose Vise grips on the top of dip stick, then I used my Welders gloves that go to my elbows. Worked fine. What an engineering mistake? Who would put it so far down. Also be careful is you are adding fluid to it. There is a special fluid (CVT). Read owner’s manual to see or google the fluid for car.
