2005 Mercury Montego tail light issue

I hooked up tail lights from an 05 ford five hundred
to my 05 Mercury Montego..all the lights except
the break lights work. How do I fix that?

Buy tail lights from a 2008 Mercury Sable and plug them in with no wiring changes. I did that last week to my son's 2005 Mercury Montego and they work great! We now have replaceable bulbs instead of an entire very expensive LED tail light assembly to replace.
