Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay so I have the battery and alternator
problems and I had them tested and
there are both good but however it says
that the battery isn't charging while the
car is running so today I had decided to
take it to the shop and when I went out
there to jump start my car it wouldn't go
into drive so my shifter is stuck in park

Did u start the car? Are you parked on a slant? If so Could there be pressure locking up trans from being on a slope. Could be the sensor on the brake petal that unlocks the shifter to b able to put into drive too. For charging problem did u check the connection between cables and battery posts? Clean this with wire brush, b careful of acid though, wear eye protection, etc and b careful of sparks

Gear is hard to move out of park it moves after a struggle but when I park it, problem starts all over again. What could it be, is it a major problem or miner
