Dear BONBON-- The only answer to your question about your 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier will come when a mechanic hooks your car's OBDI system to his diagnostic computer. There are several causes for this and it requires professional diagnosis. Don't fret, however. Many of the causes are very minor and can be repaired cheaply. Good luck from Bovan.

Check for a loose gas cap. I would loosen it up, then re-tighten until it clicks three times minimum. Also check for liquid under the cap or etc. The emissions system is linked in with the cap.
