I have a 96 suburban 2500 4x4 with a 454 it
started today then died so when I went to
start it right back up nothing no click
nothing checked all the fuses there fine the
battery cables are tight tired jumping it
nothing the stupid beep when the door
open still works until I turned on the head
lights to see if they work they didn't no
radio the interior lights work nothing else
though theres not even a click when I tried
to start the truck

I had the same problem, drove me nuts for a year until I found out that it was the fuel pump. Suburbans have a real problem with fuel pumps. When they go out it will drain a battery or it will make you think there is a short somewhere. You amp gauge will stay below 10 on your dash, you car will start if it is jumped, but then it can die once you get down the road. I would definitely check the fuel pump.

So check out my battery is 100% charged and the terminals are clean. It wont start then I wait 10 min and all of a sudden it starts up like nothing happened.
