I have spark and fuel won't start I'm stumped....
Ran fine parked came out next day for work won't
start but cranks and has fuel and spark
IS THIS A TRICK QUESTION? DO YOU HAVE COMPRESSION ?
Trust me not a trick question haven't checked compression motor internals have less than 3000 miles...like I said stumped lol
OK..YOU HAVE SRARK TO THE PLUGS?
PUT IT ON TOP DEAD CENTER AT THE BALANCER ..IS THE ROTOR ON #1 OR #6?
Yes I have spark at the plug at work right now so can't do nothing ...new motor new distributor been running good for around a month or so now this?
Could it be a censor?
Check your compression. If all cylinders test very low or zero, it's jumped timing. Also, check that the distributor is clamped down securely and cannot be moved by hand. If it can you'll have to reset the ignition timing. HTH. -Jim
At top dead center it's pointing to cylinder 1
Have you tried spraying some starting fluid down the throttle body? It should run a few seconds on that. If so, it's a fuel problem. If not, time to do the compression test. Since you have spark, it has to be either fuel or compression that's lacking. HTH. -Jim
