Have a auto parts store scan the computer for codes and see what it says, remember before buying parts, every possible reason for that code to set needs inspected first to avoid spending money on parts needlessly.

Did you already get it scanned and egr was the code? What was the code?

Maybe your engine needs a tuneup and filter change. Be sure and check the oil level too,

Do you have any check engine lights on the dash? Stop in at any auto parts store and ask them to do a free code scan, if you have an EGR problem you're likely setting one or more codes. There are a couple simple tests that can be done for the EGR, although you would need a vacuum gauge, or you could replace the part and hope for the best. I prefer to test a part and know for certain that it is defective versus throwing parts at a problem. But, if the only way to test something involves buying/renting tools or taking it in to a shop and paying a fee, it might be better to just swap out an inexpensive part and see where that gets you.

it threw the codes P0460 and P0457...fuel sensor signal range/performance and evap control system leak detected(it says gas cap may be missing but its tight and has no damage to it), I thought maybe the gas tank but it has no leaks that I notice and it had a tune up and oil & air filter change bout 2 mths ago. I thought of replacing the EGR valve since I now have the check engine light on. all my fluid levels are good also.

The EVAP leak can affect your fuel pressure, that is likely giving you the most trouble. The EVAP system can be difficult to service as it runs inside body panels. There is also a purge and vent solenoid that may need servicing. Your car is not that old, so I don't think it would be a broken or rotted line, hopefully the problem is just one of those solenoids.
