If the blower does NOT work on the highest setting, then the problem is not with the resistor pack. When blower fan is switched to high, voltage is applied directly to the blower and skips the resistor pack. The resistor pack is only used in the lower fan settings. If you have no fan at all, you may need to look for loss of electrical power in the circuit, either at the switch, or along that wire harness. Check the ground connection at the motor too. If you want to check the resistor pack check under the dash, passenger side below glove box, held in place by two bolts with an electrical connector running to it. Look up the part on any parts site online and you'll have an idea what it looks like.

And only the driver side heat worked and I couldn't get the heat to turn off does that have any play in it at all?
