my 90 buick reagl with 3.1 cranks but when the accelerator is pushed it shuts down. it idles fine. i have checked and found no vacuum leaks 1 Answer

Ready to drive to work just like always. 2012 Buick Regal automatic. Just got it. With foot on brake, I push button to start, engine starts. Keeping foot on brake, I try to shift from Park to Reverse. Not happening! There's no doubt, the shifter is not moving to Reverse! WHY? Is there something I can do or try real quick?
