Do CVTs not need a transmission fluid change?

I have a 2007 Jeep Compass that just hit 100,000 miles and a friend advised
me to get the transmission fluid changed as regular maintenance.
I called a dealership but they said my Jeep has a CVT, which is sealed and
doesn't need to be flushed/changed. I'm hoping this is accurate but I would
like a second opinion to make sure I'm not neglecting my jeep in the long
run.

Of course dealer does not want you to change fluid so when trans goes bad they can charge a lot to replace it.

I have a Lexus LS600 HL with a CVST with over 340000 miles on it now and the transmission fluid has never been looked at or changed. Based on what I am seeing here this must be an amazing thing. Think it may be just the luck of the draw? Always use synthetic for those out there who do need to change their fluid those without sealed units I would say.

Don't listen to them. the CVT is the most fragile (and in my opinion useless) of all auto transmissions. What the guy at the dealership should have said to you is the ONLY thing you can do to them is change the dirty fluid at the recomended service intervals. Dirty transmission oil destroys these things...
