What causes shaking of the front end

The front end of my car shakes. Could it be I need a front end alignment or could there be
another reason for the shaking.

When my 2001 GS was shaking up front. It was the left front bearing hub. I replaced both right and left. They have the same miles. I am sue the other would soon follow.
