Does anybody know where I can get the tubing for water pump

My mechanic tried to replaced the water pump with a new one but found that the "tubing" that connects to the water pump has deteriorated so water is leaking. Does anybody know where we can get that part? My car has been in his shop for 2 weeks! He bought one but it does not fit the new water pump. The water pump he has is part #1481230. He said even Mitsubishi company does not carry the tubing that fits this water pump.

depending where the leak is cut the pipe flare either end of the cut and replace bad section with a piece of heater hose.
