suspension

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

does anyone know of any problems with the suspension parts going bad prematurely? or if there have been any problems with the settings getting stuck in one setting, making it seem like there might be a problem with other parts?

I haven't heard of any problems in our cars specifically, but we are a small group. Scour the swedespeed forums and see if you find any mention. The easiest thing to do however would be just bite the bullet and take it in to a dealer. They would be oh so happy to find a problem with you car.

Yes! I just reported today to the NHSTA a catastrophic safety issue that occurred with my suspension on my Volvo XC70. The rear spring coils cracked in half. I’m not sure how familiar you are with this, but the spring coils are not in any owners manual as a part that needs replacement due to wear and tear. They should NOT crack in half ever! My car is not the o key FYI.
