Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Volvo s60R just started to leave large oil spots
on the ground. The undercarriage seems to have oil
all over . I haven’t gotten a oil low light yet. But
what is the most common cause?
Did the jiffy lube ppl not give me the right oil..?
Time for new gasket?

I'm sorry, but if you're relying on Jiffy Lube to tell you what's wrong with your S60R, then you're in the wrong car. There are a lot of common leaks on these engines, most common to cause a large oil leak are the cam seals. If you aren't comfortable diagnosing this yourself, find a reliable Volvo specialist in your area. NOT some generic mechanic that doesn't know these cars.

Also, check the oil filter. If you got your oil changed at Jiffy Lube, there's a good chance they put the oil filter canister on wrong and crushed the o-ring. I've seen this numerous times. And whatever you do, don't wait for your low oil light to come on to check and fill the oil if necessary. Don't overfill it, but don't let it run too low.
