hard starting more often than starting proper

I have a 2004 vovlo C70.  Having serious problems starting the car.  Will not turn ove.  Was told the battery needed to be changed.  Not sure if it is a spark plug/fuel filter issue or even a starter?

First check and clean your battery terminals. Go to your local auto store and have your battery and alternater tested. Most advance auto's and autozones will do this for free.
