Plaque under the hood

Asked by Patrick May 08, 2016 at 08:20 PM about the 2006 Pontiac GTO Coupe

Question type: General

I've searched and searched and can't find the
reason why there is a plaque under the hood of my
2006 LS2 GTO saying it's 1 of 390 made. What's
the significance of the plaque and why only 390
made that year??

Very few made it to the U.S.. A bunch were lost in a train crash. They go buy exterior color, interior color, transmission and wheels17" or 18". 18s has a narrower tire. The plaque is not from the factory. 2004 has a LS1 with single exhaust, 05 & 06 had the 6.0 LS2. 06 has black tail lights. I love my 06 black on black M6 GTO. There are a lot of haters of the GTO since it was made at Holden and not Chevy in the U.S.. I have put them all in their place racing the 1/4 mile. GT, SS, SRT8, EVO, WRX STI. Only lost to a Z06 and a fast ass Harley
