My 2004 Mazda RX8 driver door won't open

On Monday of this week I got in my car without any problem to go to my doctor's appointment in my neighborhood so well under a mile or under ten minutes. I went to get out and the car door would not open. Tried using the key fob which doors open and lock using it with no problem, tried using both sets of my keys and key fob and still nothing.

Please help!!!!

Sorry, have not been on site for a while; had door repaired; door mechanism needed replacing.
