your owners manual will verify when this job should be done. mazda(on most) require every 60,000 interval. expect to pay around 4 hrs. labor & aprox 65-70 dollars for the belt. u might want to do a water pump while doing the timing belt as well.

60,000 miles except in California where it is listed in the manual as 100,000 miles (same car and same engine). Parts necessary are cam cover gasket, timing belt, belt idler, belt tensioner and tensioner spring. Optional parts are cam seals, crank seal and water pump.
