No power to my ign coils

No spark no power for my ign coils on 03 jetta 1.8t
what could it be and how to fix plesse help really
need my car right now. Had a test ligjt to the wires
amd the thing that plugs into the coil and no light
came on just put a new engine in.

I dont have the check engine light coming on and the rpm gauge doesnt move when i crank and i replaced the ecu today and still have nothing fuses good now there is a negstive batter ground i think is in the wrong place does it ground to the starter and thaks for the replies and help

    motor removed from car and re installed no power to headlights, no ignition nothing. checked all connections. is there a master fuse or a breaker in the wiring that i'm not aware of ?
