Ok so I just got a 2001 jetta with a 2.0 car runs
great .. so I just woke up walked out to the car
opened the door the lights where on put the key in
to turn the car over .. as I turned the key the car
lossed all power no lights are anything .. what the
he'll .. so I check the battery . Good .still nothing no
power anywhere ..
Your battery was drained of all its power. A battery is designed to give a lot of power for a short duration of time to start your motor, not to keep a constant drain of energy for long times. You need to jump-start your car with another car but let it run while connected to your car for several minutes before trying to start yours.
Classic loose or bad cable connection on the battery ... take the 2 connections to the battery post and try to wiggle them .. odds are one of them is loose or has a lot of "salt like" buildup ... you need to remove the connector, then clean it. Put some battery cable non-oxidizer on the post before retighting
